Confidence is an attractive trait, but it’s not something that everyone comes by easily or naturally. However, when you know you are looking good, confidence follows, and the more confident you are, the easier it is to maintain that feeling and use it to your advantage. If you have trouble feeling confident, here are some amazing (and easy!) beauty tips to boost that confidence to the next level.
Red Lipstick
Although you might naturally shy away from red lipstick and it’s not-to-be-missed brightness, it can be a perfect confidence enhancer. It’s easy to do, although we recommend that you spend a little time in the store trying the different shades of red as there are so many of them. You will find something that works for you though; you just need to persevere. Once you have the right color, use it. Wear it out whenever you leave the house, even if it’s the only makeup you put on. People will notice it, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s the ideal way for you to practice your confidence because you will be seen. Red is the color of confidence, so it’s vital for your self-esteem.
Cover The Grays
We’ve all had that moment standing in front of the mirror getting ready to go out when we notice a gray hair sticking out and ruining the rest of the look. Most people find gray hairs upsetting and unappealing; they are a reminder of the aging process, something which not many people like to think about too much. Therefore, remember to cover your grays with a hair dye a couple of days before you are due to go out for your event. If you haven’t got time and you’ve only just noticed, try using mascara to cover it for now and add the dye another time.
Perfume
Spritzing on some perfume has a great confidence boosting effect. It’s fresh and smells good, and just knowing that (and catching a whiff of it now and then) can make you feel great as you make your way through the day. Even just walking around your own home you’ll notice an added spring in your step.
Reduce Your Acne
It’s not just teenagers who can suffer from bad acne, and if acne is the thing that is making you feel less confident than you should, you can try concealing it with makeup. It might take some practice, as some efforts can show the acne up more than it hides it, so make sure you know what you’re doing before you head out the door. Alternatively, you can try a specific acne treatment like CleaRx which can remove even the most stubborn spots. Once your acne is gone, you’ll feel so much more confident and happy.
Smile
A simple smile can show everyone around you just how confident and happy you are, and that makes a big difference to how you feel and how you are perceived. Smiling is not our natural state, so it will take time to remember to do it. Try smiling at yourself in the mirror to ensure you get the right look.
