The annual Fire in the Fourth Festival, put on by Old Fourth Ward Business Association, takes place, Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 3 to 11 p.m. Paying homage to the historic Great Atlanta Fire of 1917, which devastated the Old Fourth Ward, the festival celebrates its heritage with over 30 live, local performances by musicians, dancers and artists; fire games, sculptures and performers; history presentations; food, drink and more.Open to all ages and free to attend, all proceeds from Fire in the 4th will benefit the Old Fourth Ward Business Association.
For those interested, enjoy VIP ($85 or $95 the day of the event) from 3-11 p.m. featuring three menus and custom cocktails from Bone Lick BBQ, Venkman’s and Bantam Pub as well as open bar with Tito’s handmade Vodka, Zaya Rum, Fernett-Branca, Corralejo Tequila, Borghetti and craft brews by 3 Taverns and Creature Comforts with wine tasting by City Winery. Entertainment by Frets on Fire, Beverly “Guitar” Watkins, Ruby Red’s Band, Django Earnhardt, Twin Criminal and 10 Degrees Off with all day amusement by the Imperial OPA Circus and fire performances at dusk.
