Southern Hope- Animal Rescue
Southern HOPE currently receives as many as 70 animals a day at the FCAS shelter that have been lost, turned in or abandoned.  The goal of this humane society is to find as many good homes for the animals as possible, thereby eventually eliminating the need for euthanasia. From Thursday until Sunday, anyone who buys any energy-efficient appliance or device of up to $1,500 will not have to pay the Georgia’s state sales tax of four percent. You will still have to pay the tax for the county where the item was bought, but at least you can save some $$$. 
If you are in the market for dishwashers, ceiling fans, programmable thermostats, anything that has the stamp of approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or Department of Energy, you will save 4%. Check with stores regarding eligible items.
